About Us
Bombay Leprosy Project is an NGO founded by Dr R Ganapati, an eminent Leprologist, who has
transformed leprosy work from a closed institutionalized endeavour to a widespread community based
work. The principles of Dr Ganapati's outstanding work have drawn several medical and para-medical
workers into his fold to join hands with him in his crusade to work towards achieving leprosy
elimination. We have been working relentlessly to help miserable victims of leprosy ''existing"
from day to day with a bleak, almost hopeless future. The distinct commitment and true devotion of
the team has set a mark in the history of leprosy. This has brought hope in the lives of thousands of
individuals suffering from leprosy.
