Privacy Pledge
Use of Information Bombay Leprosy Project pledges to maintain privacy of its donors. BLP will not collect any personally identifying information except when specifically and knowingly provided by visitors to our site. Such information includes name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number. At times, Bomlep.org may share aggregate, or summary, statistics about our donors, donations, traffic patterns, and related site information with reputed organisations. However, this information will NEVER include any personally identifying information. Credit card information is NEVER shared under any circumstances. Security This site has built-in security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control. The on-line transaction systems are developed and built on Free BSD and Apache. Always use our Secure Mode when making a donation. You will not be able to use Secure Mode if you have an older version of an Internet browser that does not support secure transactions, or if your computer is located on a local area network (LAN) that uses a firewall that prohibits secure transactions. In the latter case, have your network system administrator configure Port 443 for secure transactions. Under such circumstances, if Secure Mode is not possible, use one of our off-line donation options (phone, fax, or post) to donate. Donation Contact information as requested to fill the donation form is required to send acknowledgement and certificates from Bombay Leprosy Project to our donors, and to get in touch with the donors when necessary. Financial information that is collected is used to bill the donor for the donation made. Donors also have the option of donating over the toll-free telephone number (US Donors only) or fax or may choose to donate by Demand Draft (Banker's Check) via post. Cheques/Bank drafts may please be drawn in favour of 'Bombay Leprosy Project'. Donations are exempted from Income Tax under Section 80G (1961) [Valid for Indian donors only] Foreign donors can donate directly as BLP is registered with the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA - 1976). BLP's FCRA number is 083780218 (dated 28th March 1985). Survey Our optional online survey asks visitors for demographic information (like your gender, age, or income level). We use this data to know and understand you better. Subscribe to E-Journal Registration to Bomlep.org's E-Journal is absolutely FREE. The membership registration form requires users to give us only their e-mail address through which the E-Journal will be sent (monthly).
